Irish Hereford Prime has proudly presented a donation of €5,100 to Children’s Health Foundation, raised through the success of the 2026 Hereford Charity Calendar initiative.  The cheque was presented by Tennyson Egar, Operations and Account Manager at Irish Hereford Prime, to David Kerley, Corporate Executive of Children’s Health Foundation.  Now in its sixth year, the charity calendar continues to be a collaborative initiative between Irish Hereford Prime and the Irish Hereford Breed Society. The project showcases artistic talent from across the country, featuring selected entries from the annual Hereford Charity Photo and Calendar Competition. The competition, held each summer, invites creative submissions from all Irish Hereford Prime farmer members, combining agricultural pride with community spirit.

All proceeds from the sales of 2026 calendar were donated to Children’s Health Foundation, supporting the vital work carried out at Children’s Health Ireland hospitals. The funds raised will contribute to essential care and support services for sick children and their families from every corner of Ireland.

Speaking at the presentation, Tennyson Egar said: “The Hereford Charity Calendar has become an important part of our year. It is fantastic to see the continued support from our members and the wider public, and we are proud to once again direct the proceeds towards such a meaningful cause. The work carried out by Children’s Health Foundation makes a real difference to families during incredibly challenging times.”

He added: “Family and community are central to Irish Hereford Prime, with many of our members representing multi-generational farming traditions. The generosity shown through this initiative reflects those values, and we are delighted that the funds raised will go towards supporting young patients and their families.”

Also speaking at the presentation was David Kerley of Children’s Health Foundation:

“We’re proud to be the charity partner of Irish Hereford Prime since 2024. Thanks to their incredible support, over €23,000 has been raised to help sick children across all four sites of Children’s Health Ireland. Donations like these make a real difference, supporting essential therapies such as play, music and baby massage, which are so important for children and their families during difficult times.”

The Hereford Charity Calendar continues to celebrate Irish agriculture, the Hereford breed and the creative talent within the wider community, while making a tangible difference each year. As the funds begin to support services at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Irish Hereford Prime looks forward to building on the success of the initiative in the years ahead.
