Irish Hereford Prime Celebrates Another Standout Year at Tullamore Show 2025
Irish Hereford Prime had a fantastic day at this year’s Tullamore Show & FBD National Livestock Show on 10th August. A longstanding highlight in the Irish Hereford Prime calendar, we’ve proudly supported this event since the late 1990s and what a show it has become.

The show was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with our Irish Hereford Prime farmer members and engage with the wider farming community. The standard of Hereford showing was exceptional across the board, a true credit to all involved.

Visitors to our stand at L75 in the Pedigree Cattle Section learned more about our Beef Sustainability Program and we were delighted to showcase progeny from our partnership with Dovea Genetics, reinforcing the importance of strong genetics in delivering sustainable high-quality beef. The Hereford breed also featured prominently in the Bord Bia Sustainability Village, further reflecting its growing role in sustainable farming systems.

Our ‘Guess the Weight’ competition was a big hit, with many stopping by for a chance to win Irish Hereford Prime merchandise and SuperValu vouchers.
We were also pleased to catch up with Stephen Connolly, Agri Sustainability Manager at ABP, who spoke about ABP’s 20-year partnership with Irish Hereford Prime built on consistency, sustainability and the growing popularity of the Hereford breed across Ireland’s dairy herd.

Likewise, Mick O’Dowd Head of Agri Business at Kepak, reflected on our strong relationship since 2013 highlighting how Herefords are a perfect fit for Kepak’s customers due to their ideal carcass weight and early finishing ability.
A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, enter our competition or simply show their support. We’re already counting down the days to Tullamore Show 2026.
