A donation of €6,700 has been proudly presented to Children’s Health Foundation by Irish Hereford Prime, following the success of their 2025 charity calendar initiative. The cheque was handed over by Tennyson Egar, Operations and Account Manager at Irish Hereford Prime, during a recent visit to Seán O’Brien’s farm in Tullow, Co. Carlow.
The calendar, now in its fifth year, is a collaborative effort between Irish Hereford Prime and the Irish Hereford Breed Society. Each year, it showcases artistic talent from across the country, with this edition featuring standout entries from the annual Hereford Charity Photo and Calendar Competition, an annual summer competition that invites creative contributions from young and budding Irish artists.
Proceeds from the calendar were donated to this year’s chosen beneficiary, Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, a vital organisation that provides essential care and support to sick children and their families from every corner of Ireland. The funds will help the hospital continue its mission to deliver life-changing care to those who need it most.
Reflecting on the success of the initiative, Tennyson Egar said:
“The Hereford Charity Calendar is a firm favourite in our calendar year. We’re delighted to work with the Irish Hereford Breed Society to make it happen, and it’s especially meaningful when the cause is as impactful as Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. Their work supporting families during some of their most difficult times is truly humbling. It was an easy decision to select them as our 2025 charity partner.”
He continued:
“Family is a central value at Irish Hereford Prime as many of our members are multi-generational farmers, with deep community roots. So to see such generous support from our members and the public for this year’s calendar was incredibly heartening. Knowing that the money raised will go toward helping young patients and their families makes every effort worthwhile.”
The charity calendar not only celebrates Irish agriculture and the Hereford breed but also continues to grow as a symbol of generosity, creativity and community spirit. As the funds are put to work at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, the team at Irish Hereford Prime looks forward to building on this momentum in years to come.
