Early in March we invited Oisin Fahy, Corporate Partnership Executive at Children’s Health Foundation to Seán O’Brien’s farm in Tullow. They were joined by Tennyson Egar, Operations and Account Manager at Irish Hereford Prime. The calendar which was created in association with Irish Hereford Prime and the Irish Hereford Breed Society, raised an impressive €8,460 for their 2024 charity partner – Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. This sizable sum will go directly to this extremely worthy cause, which is instrumental in supporting hundreds of sick children and their families on a daily basis.
Now in its fourth year, this year’s charity calendar features a selection of winning photographs and drawings created by budding Irish artists, who entered into the Hereford Charity Photo and Calendar Competition during the summer.
Speaking in relation to this charity initiative Tennyson Egar, Operations and Account Manager at Irish Hereford Prime commented, ‘The Hereford Charity Photo and Calendar Competition is a much-loved annual highlight, which we roll out in association with our friends in the Irish Hereford Breed Society. Selecting Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin as this year’s charity recipient was a no-brainer. The phenomenal work they do on a daily basis helping sick children and their families does not go unnoticed, and we wanted to help in any small way we could to support their tremendous work.
‘Family is at the heart of Irish Hereford Prime, with many members being 3rd and 4th generation farmers. It was so heart-warming to see such an outpouring of support from our Irish Hereford Prime members and the public at large who purchased this year’s calendar for such an extremely worthy cause. We are thrilled that the funds will help Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin to continue giving such good care to children across Ireland.’
