The O’Donovan / Barrett family have owned the property since 1934 and opened their bar and hotel business in 1948. Peter Barrett is the fourth generation of the family to manage the hotel. With experience working in hospitality in Switzerland, Hong Kong and the USA, Peter believes that what makes Dunmore House Hotel so successful is its good old fashioned Irish welcome.
Dining is central to the Dunmore House experience. Locally sourced products are an essential part of the ethos of the restaurant. The fish served in the restaurant is locally caught in Irish waters, the organic vegetables are grown in the hotel’s Ocean Garden, just a few steps from the kitchen, and of course, the beef is locally sourced Irish Hereford Prime. “Our produce, quality and welcome is unmatched.”
