Founded in 1895, Howth Yacht Club sits in an enviable location on the water’s edge in Howth Harbour.

A popular tourist spot, Howth draws visitors from around the world for its breath-taking views, lively atmosphere and array of fabulous restaurants.
Howth Yacht Club boasts over 2,300 members and caters to all types of maritime enthusiasts, from keelboat and dinghy racers to those who prefer a leisurely cruise, as well as the many youth sailors who are beginning their sailing journey.

Aideen Doran, general manager, explains that the clubhouse is at the heart of a busy social calendar for club members, with regattas, fun events, dining nights and celebrations organised throughout the year. Despite its location in a traditional fishing village, Howth Yacht Club is known for its steak, and their regular steak night is very popular with all their members.

Aleks Jerjomenkoy, head chef at Howth Yacht Club, has perfected the art of balancing fresh seafood and top-quality beef with his delicious Surf and Turf, which comprises locally caught prawns with Irish Hereford Prime sirloin steak.
Our most popular dish is our Surf and Turf, great quality beef and seafood, it’s a good combination, it’s a winner.
Aleks describes flavour and texture as the most important elements of good quality beef, and he is delighted that he can find that locally with Irish Hereford Prime, he is happy to report that his guests feel the same way.
I can see all the qualities that we are looking for in Irish Hereford Prime beef and you can ask our guests, they know it, for sure.
